The Prayer Network

Recently, two of my friends had miscarriages. They both requested prayers. I prayed that they have the strength during these trying times.

That's when I searched for an app where you could post your prayer and people could pray for you. I found several. But, I warmed up to the concept of The Prayer Network, connecting people Soul-cially.

I encountered a problem at first. The app would crash each time I tried to post my prayer. I emailed them about my problem. I got a response in less than 24 hours and now I'm able to post my prayers.

There are 5 major sections in the app:
Share This is the first thing you see when you launch the app. You type in your prayer here.

Prayers In the Global tab you see all the prayers posted. If you activated your location, you can opt to filter the prayers to Local so you will see prayers posted by those in close proximity to you. After tapping on a prayer, you can read the full prayer and pray for the person. After praying for them, let them know by tapping the 'pray for' button. You can also leave some words of encouragement through 'comment' and you'll be given an option to follow that person.

Journal lists the prayers you've posted (My prayers), and those you've prayed for (I've prayed for). If you've opted to follow anyone, you can see them under I'm following.

The last two sections are Invite and Settings. You can invite friends to join the network using email or facebook. And settings are, well, settings.

So, be it that you have a special request, or you want to share your faith, or you want to be a good Samaritan of sorts, or you just want to give Him thanks and praises, give The Prayer Network a chance.
