This is one of the folders on my iPod:
1st row (L-R): Minimalist To Do, Catch Notes, iOS Notes app, Safe Note 2nd row (L-R): Baby Geek, iPeriod, My Little Birthday |
Minimalist To Do
Its easy to run to the grocery whenever you need something, but what I hate is getting home and then realizing I forgot to buy something. I use Minimalist To Do for my lists of things I need to buy. Or things I have to do while I'm at a certain place. It does have the functionality to use several lists but I only use the main one. It's perfect for immediate stuff. So, at the end of the day, this app should be empty (ideally).

Catch Notes
I use Catch Notes for short notes. I like how you can tag your notes and then pull up all the notes under a particular tag. I use it for short notes that don't require my immediate attention. Like when I go to a bookstore and I see I book that I find interesting. I note the title and author in Catch Notes then tag it as 'download'. This is also where I save little quotes that catch my fancy.
Things I really like about Catch Notes:
1. There's an Android app
2. You can take voice memos
3. You can take photo notes
4. You can sync your notes online at https://catch.com
Why do I like those four features? I can make a voice memo or take a photo note using my Sony Ericsson X10 mini, sync the notes online then get it on my 2nd generation iPod Touch by syncing that.
Catch Notes offers password protection but I don't use it. I prefer to use Safe Note (see below) for sensitive information.

iOS Notes
Yes, I use the Notes app that comes with the iOS. I use it for long notes. I also use it as a journal of sorts.
Safe Note
Safe Note is password protected. I use it for sensitive information like bank account numbers, ID numbers, and passwords to name a few. As mentioned earlier, Catch Notes also offers password protection, but its so inconvenient to have to enter a password just to access everyday notes.
I have the trial version and I've been using it for two months now. It only allows me to keep five different notes but so far it's been sufficient. I just place all my ID information in one note, all my password information in another note, and my bank information in another.

Baby Geek
I have been dependent on Baby Geek since my little one was a month old. Up until two months ago, I used to note all of his activities like diaper changes, feedings, baths, finger and toe nail cutting, sleeping, etc. At the end of each week, I would email the events to myself for my record. Now I only use that portion when he has a fever. It's really convenient to note down his temperature and medication. I find it really convenient because it will chart his temperature for up to three days. You can sync the events with another Baby Geek. This way, the data is up to date, even when Daddy is in charge.
I still use the growth data, immunization schedule, development schedule. I wish these data could also be synced with another Baby Geek.

iPeriod
I like to keep track of my lady activities. 'Nuff said.

My Litte Birthday
I suck at remembering birthdays. My Little Birthday is linked to my facebook account. It alerts me of my friends' birthdays on their birthday. I can choose a cake on the app, put in a simple greeting and it'll post on their facebook wall. My only complain? The post says 'Secretly sent with the My Little Birthday iPhone Application.' I mean, seriously, it doesn't seem to be much of a secret if it was posted on someone's wall. And why does a birthday greeting have to be a secret?
