At six months, purees are becoming a part of my son's diet. Unfortunately a certain portion of his daily feedings end up on bibs, washcloths, and clothes.
I take great care to make sure my baby is always presentable. I really make an effort to keep him clean.
Imagine the remnants of a carrot puree stain on clothes. Or a squash puree stain. Or prune puree stain. No matter how clean clothes are, they NEVER look clean with a stain. Thank goodness for Resolve laundry stain remover (formerly Spray 'n Wash).
I usually have a basin of water with a bit of the liquid ready. When something gets stained, I spray the liquid on to the stained area and then dump it into the basin. I keep it there until my next laundry day which is in a day or two (I have the baby laundry done two to three times a week).
After the clothes are washed and dried, they look good as new.
I've done this for gently used things that I've acquired for my baby. I also use it for the casualties of an explosive poop (I do a subtle hand wash on the stained areas first). Just recently, I discovered it also works on those pink baby medicine stains (I had to give him acetaminophen after his 6th month shots).
